Designing, Implementing, and Leveraging Successful Virtual Planned Giving Donor Stewardship Events

Join Elana Lippa, Director of Planned Giving, and Vimalane Antee, Donor Relations & Events Coordinator at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, for an inside look at planning and executing virtual Heritage Society events. This webinar will focus on what worked well, areas for improvement, and how these lessons are being applied to future events. Attendees will gain practical ideas for engaging donors in a virtual setting while balancing meaningful content with relationship-building.
In addition, we will host the NCGPC Annual Business Meeting, where we will reflect on the past year’s accomplishments, share updates on organizational priorities, and elect the FY2026-27 Board members.

Speakers

Elana Lippa, Director of Planned Giving, The National Acadamies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine
Elana Lippa is the Director of Planned Giving at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, where she leads donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship; marketing; and gift administration for the planned giving program across three academies.
The National Academies is Elana’s fifth organization over 26 years in development, with 24 of them in planned giving. Over her career, she has closed $30M+ in documented and matured planned gifts.
Elana enjoys adapting new technologies to streamline work and to create new stewardship opportunities for donors. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering for the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Voice Competition, completing Sudoku puzzles, baking, watching college basketball, and playing with her two cats. She is the proud parent of one incoming college student and one soon-to-be college graduate.
She holds a Master of Arts in Arts Management with a fundraising concentration and Bachelor of Arts in Music. Elana is a past president of NCGPC.

Vimalane Antee, Donor Relations and Events Coordinator, The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine
Vimalane Antee is a Donor Relations and Events Coordinator at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, where he leads engagement efforts to strengthen relationships with donors and key stakeholders. He brings a thoughtful, people-centered approach to philanthropy, supported by a background in communications, development, and program coordination.
Prior to his current role, Vimalane served as a Development Assistant at George Washington University, where he supported fundraising operations, coordinated donor engagement initiatives, and assisted with events and communications that advanced institutional development goals.
He also contributed to refugee resettlement efforts through the Afghan Refugee Accompaniment program, mentoring families and supporting their transition into new communities.
Vimalane holds a bachelor’s degree in Persian Studies from the University of Maryland and a graduate certificate in Quantitative Business Foundations from George Washington University. He is passionate about growing in the field of development and aims to advance as a frontline fundraiser, building meaningful relationships and driving impactful philanthropic support.
